A high voltage sensor system providing monitoring and fault detection and diagnosis technology to provide a trip signal to a switching or protection device. Available with digital or analog output.

Biography:
Dr. Jiyuan Fan is the Chief Engineer & Chief System Architect with Southern States LLC, Automation & Sensor Division. He is a Senior Member of IEEE PES and has 40 years of experience in the Electric Power T&D industry. He received his PhD’s degree from Clarkson University, New York, in 1989, Post Doctorial Researcher at Texas A&M University in 1990. Since then, he has worked in the Power System Automation area, including Smart Grid Solutions, Grid Analytics, T&D Automation with the companies of ACS, Telvent Automation, Beijing Sifang Automation, GE Digital Energy and Southern States. Jiyuan was the chief architecture and technical leader with ACS in developing/deploying the first full scale DMS system in the industry worldwide and developed a generic Power Automation Platform with Sifang Automation for integrating DMS, EMS, SA, SCADA, etc.. Jiyuan has published more than 30 technical papers. Today, he will discuss Intelligent Circuit Censor Technologies & Transmission Fault Detection, Isolation and service Restoration.

Biography:
Mr. Reneau has 15 years of experience working in Municipal Utility Operations environment in Florida. He then spent 15 years working for a global environmental/electrical engineering firm working with clients to create turnkey solutions including design/build and design/build/operate projects. Prior to joining Southern States, he served 9 years as VP of Critical Infrastructure Solutions for a leading USA Electrical SCADA company. He again worked with customers to design, procure and install complete Electrical SCADA infrastructures. These solutions encompassed SCADA systems, central control room environments, operator consoles, display walls, substation environments and Electrical SCADA communications systems both wireless and fiber optic. Southern States LLC is the largest provider of switching solutions for Power Transmission and Distribution Utilities in the United States. Their ASD is Southern States effort to bring digital equipment into the electronically harsh high voltage arena and safely transport critical data back to the substation and /or centralized control room. Today, he will discuss Intelligent Circuit Censor Technologies & Transmission Fault Detection, Isolation and service Restoration.
