Biography:

Achref Selmi, 28 years old from Tunisia, works as a Security Engineer at AIRBUS.

Selmi has been a member of IEEE Tunisia since 2017. Currently, he is the IAS SYP Representative, IAS YP Committee chair during the IAS AM 2025 and IAS Awards committee member.

Achref was the chair of IEEE IAS Tunisia Section Chapter 2023-2024, the past Vice Chair of Tunisia Section, as well as the past chair of IEEE Tunisia Section technical activities committee (TAC) 2024, Advisor for IEEE ENIG Comsoc & CS SBC and Excom member at WIE Tunisia Section AG 2024. He was graduated from IEEE VOLT Program with one of the best three projects in 2021. In addition, he was the winner of IAS outstanding young member service award 2024, IEEE Tunisia Section Outstanding Achievement Award for 2020-2021, winner of PES initiative contest in the driven initiative contest 2019; And with IAS Tunisia Section chapter, he won the Tunisia outstanding Achievement award 2022 and IEEE R8 Chapter of the year (Large) 2023 award. As well as, with the ENIG Student branch, he won many awards like the organization of the Tunisia SYP 8th edition, the exemplary award 2020, 2nd International place in IEEE Milestone Showcase contest 2019, and the 1st National place in the Humanitarian and Technical Challenge 2019.

Selmi has served many other IEEE positions like the Co-Chair at IEEE SAC RAS 2020-2022, Chair of IEEE Tunisia SYP Congress 2020 and Chair IEEE ENIG SB 2019-2020, DL coordinator with Tunisia Section since 2021, he has been working with IAS Tunisia Section as secretary in 2021-2022 and then as chair. During those mandates, the IAS Tunisia section chapter organized many workshops and the first edition of IEEE IAS Tunisia annual meeting in 2021. 

As well, Achref organized many national and international IAS and IEEE workshops and keynotes.
