Demystifying next generation UWB: Key features, applications and test solutions
The latest generation of Ultrawideband (UWB) technology, based on the IEEE standard 802.15.4z, is increasingly being adopted for applications such as asset tracking and secure ranging. The next-generation UWB (NG-UWB) standard, identified as IEEE 802.15.4ab, seeks to enhance the robustness of these applications and establish a foundation for emerging functionalities, including sensing and low-latency communication. This webinar will provide an overview of the features currently undergoing standardization. We will examine the testing challenges associated with these features and demonstrate specific test cases utilizing our established solutions for NG-UWB.
In this webinar, participants will gain insights into the following topics:
- The current status of UWB technology and the market landscape, including updates on FiRa 3.0
- Key features and applications of NG-UWB in accordance with the IEEE 802.15.4ab draft standard
- Rohde & Schwarz testing solutions that address the new requirements for testing
- The practical implementation of NG-UWB technology
