Workshop Title:  Microwave Sensors for Cancer Detection and Monitoring

IEEE APS EVENT- May 6th-May 8th, 2025-NRSC 2025, Cairo, EGYPT

Cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among human worldwide, highlighting the critical need for early detection and effective monitoring. Microwave imaging and sensing have emerged as promising, non-invasive techniques that leverage the dielectric contrast between healthy and cancerous tissues to enhance detection accuracy. As part of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (APS) event in Egypt, this workshop will delve into the latest advancements in microwave sensor technology for cancer diagnosis and monitoring. Experts will discuss innovative antenna designs, signal processing techniques, and imaging algorithms that improve detection sensitivity and resolution. Additionally, the session will explore challenges in clinical implementation and future research directions. Attendees will gain insights into the intersection of microwave engineering, biomedical applications, and artificial intelligence-driven diagnostics, fostering collaboration between researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals. This workshop aims to foster collaboration between engineers, medical researchers, and industry professionals, driving the development of cost-effective and accessible breast cancer detection solutions tailored to regional healthcare needs.
