This Region 2 Mini-Sync with special guest Karen Panetta of Tufts University and of many IEEE roles is to explore the emerging “One IEEE” initiative. To paraphrase a famous quote from a technology company CEO, “if IEEE (members) knew what IEEE knows, we would be three times more productive.”

The “One IEEE” initiative seeks to develop our knowledge to leverage and synergize the broad efforts of IEEE and its Organizational Units. Karen’s talk will establish key parts of the foundation for achieving the following 2025-2030 strategic plan initiatives.

•  Drive global innovation through broad collaboration and the sharing of knowledge

•  Enhance public understanding of engineering and technology and pursue standards for their practical application

•  Be a trusted source of educational services and resources to support life-long learning

•  Provide opportunities for career and professional development

•  Inspire a worldwide audience by building communities that advance technical interests, inform public policy, and expand knowledge for the benefit of humanity
