Biography:

John Spencer is a BEE graduate of Georgia Tech and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Alabama. He has over 42 years in the telecommunications industry with 27 of those years in fiber optics. He worked as a Member of Technical Staff for BellSouth Science and Technology and spent 12 years working in marketing and sales for four fiber optic equipment manufacturers. He served as Chairman of the telecommunications standards committee T1X1, Digital Hiererchy and Synchronization and served twice as co-chair of the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (NFOEC). He is a Life Senior Member of IEEE and Principal and Founder of the consulting firm Intelesight.
