Inauguration Ceremony of IEEE AP-S Student Branch Chapters JIIT Noida and One Day Workshop on “Advancements in Microwave and Millimeter Wave Circuits and Systems"
The IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society (AP-S) Student Branch Chapter (SBC) is formed and got approval on 3rd November 2025. The congratulatory letter and the confirmation mail with the SBC code were received on 28th November 2025. To formally start the newly formed chapter, we have invited the prestigious global heads associated with IEEE Antennas and Propagation Societies will unveil the certificates to formally inaugurate the chapters. Following the inauguration program, the prominent experts will deliver four thought-provoking talks on the hottest topics in the microwave and mm-Wave frequencies.
The aim of this program is to motivate the UG, PG & PhD students, and faculty members working in the RF and Microwave domain towards significant contributions to the Antenna and Microwave Fraternity and global networking. The workshop includes technical talk by AP-S officials, focused towards recent state of the art works across eminent universities worldwide.

Biography:
Prof. Chinmoy Saha received his PhD degree from University of Calcutta, India and currently working as a Professor in the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, India. He has research collaboration with several International Universities in North America and Europe. He is a senior Member of IEEE & USRI, current chair of MTT-S SIGHT committee and region-10 coordinator of MTT-S since 2023. He is the founder and past chair of MTT-S Kerala (2019-2021) and former chair of AP-S Kerala chapter (2018-2019). He is also founder and current chair of IEEE EMC Society Kerala chapter. Dr. Saha has received several prestigious awards which includes Teaching Award from Government of India, “IETE Prof. SN Mitra Memorial Award”, several IEEE volunteers’ awards, and 12+ best paper awards. His research interest includes Metamaterial/ metasurface inspired systems, WPT and Energy Harvesting, multi-functional antennas for wireless applications, mm-wave/THz systems and antennas & components for space applications. He has more than 210 publications including 52 journal papers in reputed journals and authored three books with Taylor & Francis, CRC Press and Cambridge University Press. He is an associate editor in IEEE Microwave Magazine and IEEE Access. He served as Editor-in-chief for a special issue of RF and Microwave Computer Aided Engineering and currently working as editor-in-chief for an ongoing special issue of EPJ Applied Metamaterials.

Dr. Jasmine Grosinger of Institute of Microwave and Photonic Engineering
Solutions for ultra-low-power wireless communication systems based on high-frequency and ultra-high frequency radio freq
Biography:
Jasmin Grosinger is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Microwave and Photonic Engineering at Graz University of Technology in Austria, where her research focuses on sustainable wireless electronics and radio-frequency systems. She also holds a position as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering at Tohoku University, Japan. As a senior member of IEEE, Jasmin has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and invention disclosures. For her PhD work, she received the first prize from the Industrial Union of the Austrian Automotive Industry’s Jubilee Foundation. In 2021, she was honored with the Mind the Gap—Diversity Award from Graz University of Technology. From 2019 to 2024, she served as Associate Editor for IEEE Microwave and Technology Letters and is currently the inaugural Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Journal on Wireless Power Technologies. Jasmin is an active member of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S), where she contributes to Technical Committees 25 (Wireless Power Transfer and Energy Conversion) and 26 (RFID, Wireless Sensors, and IoT). Recognized as a Distinguished Microwave Lecturer by MTT-S, she is also an Elected Voting Member of its Administrative Committee, chairing the Meetings and Symposia Committee since 2024.

Building High Performance Microwave and Millimeter Wave Circuits and Subsystems
Biography:
Prof. Shiban K Koul received Master of Technology degree in microwave engineering in 1979 and PhD degree in the same field in 1983 from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, in India. He is currently an Honorary Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. His research interests include RF MEMS, high frequency wireless communication, microwave engineering, microwave passive and active circuits, device modelling, millimetre and sub-millimetre wave IC design, body area networks, flexible and wearable electronics, medical applications of sub-terahertz waves, EMI/EMC suppression techniques and reconfigurable microwave circuits including miniaturized antennas.
He has successfully Completed 38 major sponsored projects, 52 consultancy projects and 61 technology development projects. He has authored/co-authored 635 research Papers, 26 state-of-the art books, 5 book chapters and 2 e-books. He holds 26 patents, 6 copyrights and one Trademark. He has guided 30 Ph.D. theses and more than 120 master’s theses.
Prof. Shiban is a Life Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of INAE and IETE. He is the Chief Editor of IETE Journal of Research. From 2012 to 2014, he served as Distinguished Microwave Lecturer (DML) for IEEE MTT-S. Currently he is Distinguished Lecturer (DL) for IEEE EMC-S. He is recipient of numerous awards including IEEE MTT Society Distinguished Educator Award -2014, Lifetime Achievement Award-2023 from the IETE, India and Lifetime Achievement Award-2024 from the Broadcast Society of India.

Prof. Mahesh P. Abegaonkar of IIT Delhi

Biography:
Dr. Mahesh P Abegaonkar is Associate Professor at the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics(CARE), IIT Delhi, India. He received the M.Sc. in Physics from Dr. BAM University, Aurangabad, India in 1995 and Ph.D. in Physics, University of Pune, India in 2002. He has worked with Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea as a Post-Doctoral Researcher from May 2002 – January 2005. Since Feb. 2005, he has been with the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics (CARE), IIT Delhi, where he is Associate Professor Since June 2014.
His Current Research Interests span the areas of Metamaterials: Microwave and Millimeter Wave Applications, Periodic Structures for Antenna Applications, Millimeter Wave Antennas for 5G Applications, MIMO Antennas, Printed Antennas: Broadband, Multiband, Fractal, Reconfigurable, Active and MIC and MMIC. He is a recipient of various National and International Level Awards and Recognitions.
