Introduction to CAD for Research and Project Development
This workshop aims to equip attendees with fundamental Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, taking them from no prior knowledge to the ability to create a design and generate a 3D printable STL file. By the end of the session, participants will be able to navigate CAD software confidently and apply it to their academic and professional projects.
Workshop Outcomes:
Participants will gain practical experience in:
- 2D Sketching: Understanding constraints, dimensions, and parametric design.
- 3D Modeling: Creating basic and complex geometries.
- Assemblies: Combining multiple components in a virtual space.
- 3D Printable File Generation: Exporting designs in STL format for rapid prototyping and fabrication.
This workshop will provide a solid foundation in CAD, enabling attendees to integrate design tools into their research and projects effectively.
