Expanding Optical-Circuit-Switched Multi-Stage Networks to Ensure Blocking Quality in Data Centers
The speaker joined NTT Communication Switching Laboratories in 1993, where he conducted research on network design, traffic control, and high-speed switching systems. From 2000 to 2001, he was a visiting scholar at Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, NY, focusing on the design of terabit switch/router systems. Between 2001 and 2008, he contributed to the development of high-speed optical IP backbone networks at NTT Laboratories. He then served as a faculty member at The University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, from 2008 to 2017. Since 2017, he has been a professor at Kyoto University, specializing in optical circuit-switched networks for data centers.
