PreU-STEM workshop: Optical Technology

Description:
Embark on an illuminating adventure with this Outreach Event, an engaging and interactive workshop designed for high school students. This workshop aims to ignite curiosity and foster a passion for science through hands-on experiments and dynamic demonstrations centered around the fascinating properties of light.
Students will explore the wonders of light through activities such as:
- Optical Illusions: Discover how light can play tricks on the eyes and understand the science behind these visual phenomena.
- Prism Experiments: Learn about the spectrum of visible light by splitting white light into its constituent colors using prisms.
- Laser Mazes: Challenge your problem-solving skills by navigating a laser through a series of mirrors and obstacles.
- Fiber Optics: Understand how light travels through fiber optic cables and its applications in modern communication.
- Spectroscopy: Investigate the composition of different light sources using spectrometers and uncover the secrets of the universe.
Led by enthusiastic U-students and educators, this workshop offers high school students a unique opportunity to experience the magic of science firsthand. Through interactive sessions and collaborative projects, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the role of light in our world and be inspired to pursue further studies in science and technology. Join us and light the way to a brighter scientific future!
