CONFORMAL COATING IN GENERAL

Conformal Coating in general, differences between the liquid coatings (Acrylic (AR), Silicone (SR), Epoxy (EX), and Urethane (UR). Also, discussing the vapor deposited Parylene (XY), properties and process.

David Korma of PARYLENE ENGINEERING, INC

Biography:

David Korma is president of Parylene Engineering, Inc.  The company helps electronic designers in a wide variety of industries with coating for their products.  The coatings help the components endure difficult environmental conditions.

Mr. Korma has 37 years’ experience in the space and aerospace industries.  As a Project Manager, he was part of the design team for the cockpit display’s power supplies for the F14 Tomcat.  Mr. Korma was also part of the design team for various power supplies for the Boeing 737, 777, 787.  He participated in the ruggedization of the Mars Rover camera.
