Data Science: A Roadmap to Real-World Applications
IEEE Young Professionals Jordan, in collaboration with the IEEE Isra University, organized a technical session titled “Data Science: A Roadmap to Real-World Applications.” The event featured Dr. Alaa Sheta, Professor in the Computer Science Department at Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, CT, USA, along with two additional expert speakers.
The session provided attendees with a practical roadmap through the data science lifecycle, covering data acquisition, preprocessing, modeling, and deployment. Real-world case studies were discussed, offering valuable insights into current industry applications and career opportunities in the field.
In addition to the technical content, a strategic discussion was held with students and faculty to explore the steps toward officially establishing an IEEE Student Branch at Isra University, with strong support from both the YP AG and university representatives.
