The IEEE CIS AU SBC, in collaboration with the Department of Artificial Intelligence, successfully conducted a hands-on workshop titled "Harnessing LLMs: A Practical Workshop on Resume Analysis". The session aimed to provide students with industry-relevant insights into leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for resume optimization, job application enhancement, and automated hiring processes. 

Workshop Highlights:

• Dr. A. Mallikarjuna Reddy (Head, Department of AI) commenced the session with insightful opening remarks, emphasizing the transformative role of LLMs in modern recruitment and hiring automation, followed by Dr. M. Trupthi (Faculty Advisor, IEEE CIS AU SBC).
• The session was led by Ms. Pranali Bose, ML Engineer at DBS Bank, who provided a comprehensive overview of AI-driven resume analysis, including best practices for resume screening, keyword extraction, and job application enhancement.
• Participants actively engaged in hands-on exercises, applying LLMs for resume screening, text analysis, and workflow automation. Practical demonstrations utilized Hugging Face, GitHub, and the Transformer library, allowing attendees to implement AI-driven recruitment solutions effectively.

• The workshop was conducted in hybrid mode, ensuring both in-person and virtual participation. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where students gained deeper insights into AI-powered job search strategies and recruitment trends.
• The workshop witnessed an overwhelming response, with a total of 180 attendees, comprising 145 students from Anurag University and 35 external participants. The interactive format fostered an engaging learning experience, providing students with practical knowledge and industry exposure. 

We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. A. Mallikarjuna Reddy (HoD, AI) for delivering an insightful address, highlighting the growing significance of LLMs in hiring and workforce automation. We also express our gratitude to Prof. V. Vijaya Kumar (Dean, School of Engineering) for his unwavering support and guidance, which played a crucial role in the successful execution of the workshop. Additionally, special thanks to the third-year Faculty Incharges for their invaluable efforts in seamlessly organizing the event.
