Day 1

Session 1 (9:20 AM - 12:20 PM): Introduction to SolidWorks & Basic Assembly

  • Assembly of Two Parts and Understanding Linkages

Session 2 (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM): 3D Modeling & Assembly of the 5-DoF Robotic Arm

  • Designing Individual Links and Joints of the Robotic Arm
  • Creating a Complete Assembly with Multiple Degrees of Freedom
  • Defining Motion Constraints and Preparing for Simulation

Day 2

Session 3 (9:20 AM - 12:20 PM): Importing the Model to MATLAB & GUI Development

  • Preparing the SolidWorks Model for MATLAB Import the model in MATLAB
  • Introduction to MATLAB, Simulink, and GUI Development
  • Creating a Push Button/ slider Interface to Control the Arm
  • Implementing Forward Kinematics and Joint Control

Session 4 (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM): Motion Control & Robotic Arm Simulation

  • Exploring Motion Control Strategies
  • Simulating Joint Movements using Different Inputs
  • Implementing Position and Trajectory Control
  • Testing Various Kinematic Configurations

Biography:

Dr. J. Sudharsan, PhD (Robotics). He is the Director of IIIRPD Robo Tech LLP, Hyderabad, and serves as the Chairman of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, Hyderabad Section Chapter.

He is a distinguished expert in robotics, with significant contributions in the fields of design, simulation, and automation. His leadership in IEEE and his role as a director at a robotics firm suggest extensive experience in research, innovation, and industry applications of robotics.

Dr. Sudharsan is also the key speaker for the upcoming "Two Days Workshop on Design and Simulation in Robotics" scheduled for March 19-20, 2025, at Ravindra College of Engineering for Women, Kurnool.
