The IEEE CCET Student Paper Contest (SPC) 2025 was organized to provide a platform for students to present research papers, gain professional feedback, and explore innovations across multiple disciplines of engineering and technology.

Proceedings

  1. The session was anchored by Mr. Adithyan Mohanlal and Ms. Nasooha.
  2. The event commenced at 9:30 AM with a prayer in the Seminar Hall, Department of EEE.
  3. Dr. Sarath K.S., HoD EEE and SPC Convenor, delivered the welcome address.
  4. Rev. Fr. Thomas Choolaparampil CMI, Chairman, CCET, gave the presidential address.
  5. The lamp lighting ceremony was conducted.
  6. Mr. Mohammed Ashiq introduced the Chief Guest.
  7. Er. Simon Akkara, Chair of IEEE Kochi Subsection, delivered the inaugural address.
  8. A memento was presented to the Chief Guest by Rev. Fr. Gino Kannekonnil, Bursar, CCET.
  9. Rev. Fr. Justin Alukkal CMI, Director, CCET, gave the Director’s message.
  10. Dr. Josephkutty Jacob, Principal, CCET, gave the Principal’s message.
  11. Ms. Anet Jose delivered the vote of thanks, concluding the inaugural function.
  12. Technical paper presentations began at 10:00 AM in two parallel tracks.
  13. Track 1 (20 papers) focused on Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, and Mechanical Engineering.
  14. Track 2 (16 papers) focused on Computer Science, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, and IoT.
  15. Judges Dr. Renjith Thomas and Dr. Felix M. Philip evaluated papers on originality, content, clarity, and innovation.
  16. Over 100 external students from premier institutions across Kerala participated.
  17. Topics included smart prosthetics, CubeSat payload design, AI in sports refereeing, and renewable energy systems.
  18. After the sessions, the prize distribution ceremony was conducted.
  19. Mr. Vishnu S, Branch Counselor, IEEE SB CCET, addressed the gathering and invited dignitaries for awards.
  20. First Prize: Paper ID 233, “LOCK: Bridging Physical and Digital Security for Cyber Defence”, Vimal Jyothi Engineering College, Kannur.
  21. Second Prize: Paper ID 212, “AI-Powered Service Provider Identification and Assessment Framework”, St. Joseph’s College of Engineering & Technology, Pala.
  22. Both winning teams received cash prizes and certificates. All participants were given certificates of participation.
  23. The second edition of “IEEE Pulse” newsletter was released by the Chief Guest.
  24. The editorial team, Anupama S and Aromal P Anil, was recognized for their work.
  25. The event was smoothly coordinated by IEEE CCET SB volunteers, ensuring professional execution.

The IEEE CCET SPC 2025 was a resounding success, marked by strong participation, quality research presentations, and seamless organization. The event set a high benchmark for student-driven academic competitions and reaffirmed IEEE CCET SB’s role in fostering innovation and technical excellence.
