IEEE Region 1 Board meeting

Discuss and vote on increasing the Region 1 IEEE assessment.

Motion:

Resolved that the Region 1 Board approves an increase in the Region 1 assessment from $5 to $8 per year to adequately address declining assessment contributing members, loss of allocation funding from region realignment and addition of new/expanded events and projects to address declining membership in Region 1 (and Region 2). Increase will be effective not earlier than 2026 membership renewal year and not later than 2027 membership renewal year (Depending on IEEE approvals timeline for the increase ) The combined Region would then maintain the higher R1 dues level at the 2028 merge.
