Biography:
Dr Asghar Zaidi is an academic educationist. and thought leader with global experience across academia, government, and international organizations. With a PhD in Economics from Oxford, he has led major institutions, including as Vice Chancellor of Government College University Lahore and Provost of the University of Management and Technology. His aging and social policy research has shaped global frameworks like the Active Aging Index. A former Senior Economist at OECD, he has advised the UN and World Bank. Honored with Pakistan’s Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, Dr. Zaidi continues to drive transformative change in higher education in Pakistan, including AI integration in instructional design and learning.
