Tech4Good Training Session
On March 26, 2025, IEEE COLCARIBE SAC will host the "Tech4Good Training Session," featuring Julianna Pichardo as the speaker. Julianna is the Humanitarian Technology & Sustainable Development Program Manager at IEEE, with extensive experience in technology-driven social impact initiatives. Her work focuses on supporting the HTB, SIGHT, and Tech4Good programs to address local challenges through innovative technology solutions. This session will provide more details and information about Tech4Good Call for Proposals, in order that the Student Branches will have the better tools in order to get the best tools for the submition of their projects. It will take place at 7:00 PM and promises to be an inspiring opportunity for attendees to learn from her expertise and experience.

Biography:

Julianna joined the Humanitarian Technology & Sustainable Development Activities team at IEEE in 2018 after returning to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic. While in the DR, she worked with Esperanza International, a microfinance nonprofit dedicated to poverty alleviation. As the Humanitarian Technology & Sustainable Development Program Manager, Julianna supports the work of HTB, its committees, and its Tech4Good and SIGHT Programs to ensure smooth and consistent processes that lead to meaningful impact. She especially enjoys meeting the IEEE volunteers from around the world that conduct projects that use technology to address a local challenge in their community.
