LAB TO IMPACT : ADVANCING SDGs TOGETHER -SERIES II
The session commenced with the felicitation of the chief guest followed by a welcome speech delivered by Dr. Naresh Kumar, Advisor - IEEE Reliability Society SEC SBC Associate Professor/CSBS by Dr. Naresh, setting the stage for an insightful discussion. The event focused on exploring how research, innovation, and collaboration contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It featured three esteemed panel members, including Mr. Siva Satya, CEO and Founder of Altruisty, who played a key role in evaluating student projects and providing insightful feedback. The session was structured into three panels: one for wildcard entry teams, managed by a single panelist, and two for selected teams, each assessed by the remaining panelists. The panel members engaged with the students, listened to their project ideas, and provided expert recommendations to refine and enhance their solutions. Each panelist identified the most promising team from their respective group. Based on the evaluations and scores provided, one final team was selected as the winner and awarded an internship opportunity, offering them hands-on experience and mentorship. The panelists also shared strategic guidance on how students could further develop their projects to maximize real-world impact. The event provided an excellent platform for students to connect with industry experts, gain valuable feedback, and understand the role of technology and innovation in sustainability. The insights shared, particularly by Mr. Siva Satya, helped bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations. The session successfully fostered critical thinking, innovation, and a deeper understanding of sustainable development among the participants.
