Biography:
Graduada de la Universidad de Costa Rica en 2023 con énfasis en sistemas de energía y potencia. Miembro de IEEE PES desde 2022, donde he representado a Costa Rica en entrenamientos para líderes de la región. He trabajado como ingeniera de campo e investigadora y actualmente me dedico al diseño de subestaciones eléctricas.
Raquel Ronderos
The way to the energy transiction in Colombia
Biography:
Raquel Ronderos Cervantes has been the representative of the IEEE Power and Energy Society of the Colombian Caribbean for IEEE PES Chapter Chair Training in 2024, she works on the energy transition in Colombia. She is an electrical engineer and has projects in the productive and social sectors focused on the transition to clean energy by 2030.

The future of electrical protection in the world
Biography:
Jorge Luis Soto Murrieta recibió su título de ingeniero electricista, con especialización en sistemas eléctricos de potencia, del Instituto Tecnológico de Hermosillo, México en 1996. Tomó cursos de maestría en el Instituto Tecnológico de Aguascalientes de 2002 a 2007. En 2016 inició sus estudiosde posgrado en la UASLP en la maestría de Sistemas Eléctricos de Potencia, en la modalidad profesionalizante. En 1999 se unió al Área de Transmisión Noroeste de la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE). Fue el supervisor de Protecciones de las áreasdel sur de Sonora y Sinaloa entre 2001 y 2006. De 2004 a 2006 fue instructor en el Centro de Entrenamiento Occidente de CFE en Manzanillo, Colima, México. De 2016 a la fecha imparte la materia de Protecciones Eléctricas en la Facultad de Ingeniería de la UASLP Se unió a Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, S. A. de C. V., en 2007, como ingeniero de protecciones. Actualmente se desempeña como gerente de Ingeniería de sistemas PCyM, en SEL México en San Luis Potosí.
