Presentation topic: CAF Space Careers.
The presentation plan is to include CAF Engineering trades within the CAF as well as positions within Canada and Outside Canada, how to get these positions and how to join the Space Capability Advisory Group (CAG). The 3CSD and what we do is also included. The 3CSD represents many trades, mostly within the RCAF. However we have others from the Canadian Army, RCN, and US Space Force present here as well.

Biography:

Captain Trevor H. Morris joined the CAF in September 2013 as a direct entry CELE Officer, he has been posted to the 7 Wing (Space) 7 Operations Support Squadron (7 OSS) since July 2024. Captain Morris’ previous postings were at the NORAD Joint Operations Center in Colorado Springs and the Missile Warning Operations Center at Clear Space Force Station in Alaska.
Captain Morris is currently the Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Officer within the Space Engineering Office (SEO) at 7 OSS, his duties include liaison to the SATCOM Operations Center within the 76 Communication Regiment, 7 Wing Operational Authority tasking, alternate lead on the Sapphire CAF owned satellite, alternate lead on the Polar Epsilon’s RADARSAT Constellation Mission, Technical Authority for the NAVWAR Electronic Attack Trainer – RF Jamming capability, and Lessons Learned for Sapphire. Captain Morris also administratively manages the civilian CO-OP students.

Biography:

Captain Mohamed Amine Hachani joined the CAF in August 2018 as a direct entry, initially as a Naval Warfare Officer (NWO), then he switched occupation a Communication and Electronics Engineering (CELE) Officer, he has been posted to the 7 Operations Support Squadron (7 OSS) at 7 Wing (Space) since January 2024.
Captain Hachani is currently the Sapphire CAF owned satellite Lead Officer within the Space Engineering Office (SEO) at 7 OSS, his duties include liaison to the different stakeholders involved with operating Sapphire. He is the 7 Wing Operational Authority on the Sapphire, alternate lead on the Polar Epsilon’s RADARSAT Constellation Mission. Captain Hachani goes periodically on Talent Hunting by interviewing civilian CO-OP students.
