Ms Florence Tan, Deputy Chief Technologist, Science Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters, Washington DC will begin her talk with a macro view of NASA's past, present and future missions.  She has stories about the necessity for careful measurement, diligence in hardware design and how, in one particular case, the design was used in an actual mission.  She will talk about building flight hardware on the Curiosity Rover Meet Curiosity and show actual space flight hardware in a show and tell.
