Prof. Metin Ozturk of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Turkiye

Biography:

Metin Ozturk is an Assistant Professor of Telecommunications at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Turkiye. Between 2023 and 2024, he was a Visiting Professor at Carleton University, Canada, hosted by Prof. Halim Yanikomeroglu at the world-renowned Carleton-NTN Lab. He received his PhD in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, UK, in 2020. His research interests lie in wireless communications, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence-driven mobile networking, non-terrestrial networks, and sustainable wireless network design. He has co-authored around 50 publications in leading journals, conferences, and book chapters. He has also co-organized a special issue and a workshop on AI-driven wireless networking at prestigious venues, and has delivered several invited talks and a keynote speech on the subject. Dr. Ozturk is happily married and have one lovely kid.
