Best Master Theses Award – 2025 Edition
The IEEE CSS Italy Chapter is pleased to announce the Best Master Theses Award, dedicated to young researchers and professionals who have graduated (or will graduate) from an Italian Laurea Magistrale (Master of Science) program in 2024 or 2025 with a thesis in the field of Systems & Control.
Up to 10 outstanding theses will be selected as finalists and awarded with:
- An official Award Certificate.
- An opportunity to present their work in a dedicated Special Session during Automatica.it 2025
- A free single-day registration (excluding the social dinner) to attend Automatica.it 2025 on the day of the presentation. Students planning to attend the full event must complete a full student registration, as the CSS Italy Chapter cannot provide subsidies for extended participation.
Eligibility Requirements
1. The Master Thesis must be discussed between January 1, 2024 and July 31, 2025
2. Applicants must be Student Members of the IEEE CSS Italy Chapter.
How to Apply
Send an email to ieeecss.italy@gmail.com including:
- A short self-nomination letter describing the subject of the thesis
- A PDF copy of the thesis
- A 3-minute video "My thesis in a nutshell", describing the main results of the thesis work
If files are too large, include a shareable link to a .zip folder with all materials.
Important dates
- Application Deadline: June 30, 2025
- Results Notification: July 31, 2025
Selection Committee
The Best Master Theses will be selected by a Committee of IEEE CSS Italy Chapter Members. Submitted videos will be an integral part of the evaluation process.
