NXP Cup 2025 – Tunisian Qualifications

For its very first edition in Tunisia, the NXP Cup 2025 – Tunisian Qualifications were hosted at INSAT Tunis, bringing together 20 innovative teams from across the country. This exciting event was organized by the IEEE RAS INSAT Student Branch, aiming to promote autonomous intelligent car design through practical competition and collaboration.
April 4, 2025 – Pre-Competition Night
On the eve of the competition, teams were welcomed at INSAT for a special overnight session. This night was dedicated to robot testing and preparation, allowing participants to fine-tune their vehicles in real conditions. The ambiance was both focused and energetic, with students collaborating, helping each other, and sharing technical insights late into the night. A dinner was offered to all teams to keep the energy going during this intense pre-race session.
April 5, 2025 – Competition Day
The official competition day kicked off at 09:00 with team arrival and registration. Shortly after, from 09:30 to 12:00, the training field was opened, giving teams one final chance to test their robots on the official track. A lunch break took place between 12:00 and 13:00, during which the NXP Cup ambassadors finalized the track setup.
At 13:00, the event was formally launched with a welcome speech by the organizing committee, setting the tone for an exciting afternoon. The races began at 13:15 and continued until 15:00. Each team had the opportunity to showcase the performance and precision of their intelligent cars in a series of fast-paced and thrilling rounds. At 15:00, the winners were officially announced and celebrated in front of a cheering audience.
After the awards, the event concluded with the dismantling of the track and the preparation of any necessary materials for shipment, including the timing system, if applicable.
This first edition of the NXP Cup in Tunisia was a great success, highlighting the creativity, engineering skills, and team spirit of all participants. It marked a promising beginning for future competitions in the region and strengthened the community around robotics and automation innovation.
