The UW IEEE WIE EmpowerHer Kick-off marked the launch of our year-long peer mentorship program designed to connect and support students in the engineering community. This interactive session featured a fun icebreaker activity where students wore hidden matching tags (e.g., "salt & pepper") and had to ask questions to find their designated peer. Once matched, mentor-mentee pairs engaged in guided discussions around key topics such as shared goals, strengths, and future aspirations. The event concluded with a group sharing session and a community-building wrap-up. This social kickoff laid the foundation for meaningful mentor-mentee relationships extending through the 2024–2025 academic year.
