BMSCE IEEE PES AND SC- Eco Fiesta
On account of PES Day 2025, BMSCE IEEE PES & Sensors Council in collaboration with BMSCE IEEE SSIT
had hosted an event called “EcoFiesta”. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of renewable
and sustainable energy sources. Participants engaged in a series of challenges, each designed to stimulate
creative thinking, problem-solving and seeking knowledge.
This event was conducted in 5 different rounds. It had a prize pool of 1000/-.
Round 1: Guess the carbon footprint
● The host presented activities such as: driving for 10km, watching netflix, eating, taking a flight, etc.
● The players had to guess the carbon footprint(CO2 emissions) of each activity and rank them from most
polluting to least.
Round 2: Clean Energy Pictionary
● Players had to take turns drawing energy related words and their teammates had to guess it in 10
seconds!
Round 3: “Renewable or not?”
● The third round involved distinguishing the energy sources into renewable and non-renewable to have
an idea about it.
After this round, 3 teams were eliminated based on their scores in the rounds mentioned above.
Round 4: Word Association Challenge
● To further stimulate creative thinking, a word association challenge was incorporated, where teams
were given a word and had to come up with related terms, promoting innovative connections.
● Each team had only 5 seconds to respond and no repeated words were allowed!
After the eliminations in this round, 2 teams qualified for the final round.
Round 5: One-minute pitch
● The final round focused on developing practical and cost-effective solutions that could be implemented to
promote sustainable energy.
● One of the teams pitched their idea on Hyper loop and Magnetic levitation. The other team pitched their
idea on the topic of recycling plastics in building construction.
Impact made: The event effectively encouraged participants to explore various aspects of renewable energy and
consider how to make these technologies more accessible and impactful.
