BMSCE IEEE PES & SC- The 7th Sense
Description: On account of PES Day 2025, BMSCE IEEE PES & Sensors Council in collaboration
with CorTechs organised a sensors integrated ideathon. The participants were given a set of problem
statements. They had the liberty to choose the problem to work on. They were given 1.5 hours of time
to research about their idea. Each team was given 5 minutes to present their idea to the resource
persons. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session.
The scoring criteria was based on feasibility, impact, sustainability and cost effectivity.
Impact made: The participants were given exposure to various kinds of problem statements which
enhanced their problem solving skills. They also had the liberty to choose what they wanted to work
on, which increased their decision making abilities. Towards the end, they had to pitch in their ideas to
the resource persons and talk in front of their opponents, this boosted their confidence to be able to do
public speaking. In a nutshell, there were intellectual discussions between enthusiastic engineering
students.
