Little spark
As part of IEEE Education Week, a pre-university programming session was organized to spark early interest in technology and coding among primary school students. Organized by the IEEE ENET’COM Student Branch in collaboration with the IEEE CASS Student Branch Chapter and the IEEE Student Affinity Group, the activity introduced children to the world of programming in a simple and playful way. Officers led the session by highlighting how coding can be used to create games and interactive applications, helping young students explore how programmers think and solve problems. To make the experience more engaging, we wrapped up with a hands-on activity using Scratch. The children explored a game we created, interacting with it and learning through play.
This session sparked creativity, critical thinking, and early interest in STEM, encouraging students to see themselves not just as users, but as future creators of technology—perfectly in line with the spirit of IEEE Education Week. |
