Dr. Charmayne M.L. Hughes Dr. Charmayne M.L. Hughes of Health Equity Institute / San Francisco State University

Biography:

Charmayne Hughes is a Helth Equity Insitute Associate Professor of Kinesiology at San Francisco State University. She received her PhD in motor behavior from Purdue and completed her postdoctoral work at Bielefeld University, the Technical University of Munich,and Nangyang Technological Univeristy.  She works to elucidate the impact of violence and trauma on underlying neurocognitive and neuromotor functioning and to devleop scientific, engineering, and technological solutions that benefit resource contrained and vulnerable populations.
