Power Night: an IEEE YP-sponsored STEP technical presentation and networking event at BYU-Idaho.
BYU Idaho was happy to invite Chaitali Naik and Mayuresh Vijay Savargaonkar to give a presentation at our campus. Chaitali presented on the technical aspects of the renewable energy industry, which helped raise awareness about the renewable sector and helped them to make more informed career choices. Mayuresh discussed how AI and machine learning are incorporated into electric vehicle charging stations. His presentation provided insight into real world uses of AI, from batteries to electric vehicles.
In addition to the technical presentations, students learned more about IEEE and how it can benefit them in their academic and professional journeys. Students and young professionals had the opportunity to network and gain insight on career preparation and professional development. The event was sponsored by IEEE Young Professionals. Dinner was served by BYU-Idaho’s catering department.
