As part of the Women’s Day Celebrations 2025, the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of SCT College of Engineering organized a  quiz competition titled “CODE QUEEN” on 11th March 2025. The event was conducted from 12:40 PM to 1:00 PM IST at the EC Seminar Hall. This competition was exclusively designed for first-year and second-year girl students with the aim of promoting interest in programming and enhancing logical and analytical thinking skills among women in engineering.

The quiz was conducted through the Quizziz platform, which provided an interactive and engaging environment for participants to attempt the questions in real-time. The quiz content focused on various programming concepts and problem-solving skills, including logic building, output prediction, coding snippet analysis, and multiple-choice questions based on programming knowledge. The format was crafted to challenge and develop the participants’ technical aptitude.

A total of 33 students participated in the competition. Out of these, 21 were IEEE members, 10 were IEEE Computer Society members, and 12 were non-IEEE members, representing a broad and inclusive set of participants. The event was met with enthusiastic response and active involvement from the students.

After the quiz concluded and responses were evaluated, Mydhili R. Nair was awarded the title of ‘CodeQueen’ for securing the highest score, while Mahreen Zuraiq was declared the First Runner-up. Both winners were presented with cash prizes as a token of recognition for their commendable performance.

The successful execution of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the coordinators, Ms. Nandana Rajesh and Ms. Chinmayi B S, whose meticulous planning and support ensured the smooth flow of activities. Registrations for the competition were collected via the link https://bit.ly/CODE-QUEEN, allowing participants to easily sign up and engage in the event.

The CODE QUEEN quiz competition effectively served its purpose of encouraging young women to develop their technical skills and take pride in their abilities. It stood as a celebration of women's talent in technology, aligning with the spirit and message of Women’s Day 2025.
