At STEAM Lab, students from around Texas drop in and explore the Bullock Museum, see demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities with STEM experts from Central Texas Discover Engineering.

On May 8, 2025, the IEEE Central Texas Section will provide the STEM experts for the May STEAM Day. This will be the 4th year the IEEE Central Texas Section has partnered with the Bullock and Central Texas Discover Engineering for this event. The CTS STEM Committee is putting together hands-on demonstrations of electrical phenomena for the students  -- Van de Graaff Generator, communications, play-dough circuits, etc.

This event is hosted by the Central Texas Section Life Member Affinity Group.  This is a very enjoyable way for engineers and others interested in science education to show curious youngsters interesting science.

Volunteers can park for free in the Bullock garage. Volunteers will undergo a short training session at the beginning of the event. Register to volunteer and feel free to bring other family members or friends to join us in this STEM event.  For further information, contact John Purvis john.purvis@ieee.org
