Sushil Borde

Sushil Borde leads the Reliance Innovation Leadership Centre-driving strategic initiatives for Reliance Industries Limited, India’s largest private sector company.Sushil has played a key part in several major initiatives, including leading the Mumbai Indians (MI) cricket franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and founding of Reliance Foundation and Jio Institute.
Sushil is the Founder President of the Anjani Mashelkar Foundation,established by Dr. R A Mashelkar, a legendary innovation leader. The
foundation discovers, develops and deploys disruptive, high-tech healthcare innovations that are both aKordable and transformative.
Internationally, Sushil has served as a senior advisor to the Global Research Alliance, a collaboration of top research and technology organizations, harnessing the expertise of 60,000 scientists to achieve global good through global science.
During his seven years in South Africa, Sushil led the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Strategy, deploying public funds to enhance the global competitiveness of South Africa’s manufacturing sector.
Sushil also been the President of the Fab Foundation at MIT Boston- establishing Fab Labs—spaces for rapid product prototyping that enable people to solve local challenges through invention. The foundation’s mission, ‘Invention as Aid,’ aligns with Sushil’s belief in the power of grassroots innovation.
Sushil holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, providing a strong technical and business foundation for his leadership.
