IEEE Hamilton-KW Life Member spring lunch and meeting
IEEE Hamilton-KW Life Member spring meeting and discussion.
There has been much discussion of the construction of nuclear power plants to mitigate the effects of global warming. The Vancouver LMAG has organized a series of talks, of which the first included a viewing of the Oliver Stone documentary "Nuclear Now" and the second was a discussion of available technologies and their business cases or lack of them.
This meeting will include a lunch followed by excerpts from the "Nuclear Now" documentary, which describes changing societal attitudes to nuclear power generation and argues that there is no viable alternative for producing sufficient power in the near future.
