Data is being generated at an incredible rate in this Artificial Intelligence world. Companies generate lots of Data. Some of the Data may be Proprietary although some could also be share-able. Sharing of Data can enable users worldwide to accelerate research and product development timelines. While Data storage is inexpensive, finding the right data can be a challenge. A platform that works well for researchers will be described and examples of how getting involved in Data competitions can be used effectively in career and product development.

Dr. Kumar

Biography:

Dr. Rakesh Kumar is a semiconductor industry veteran, an entrepreneur, an educator and an IEEE Life Fellow. He has had numerous leadership roles at IEEE including Chair of IEEE Future Directions, Roadmaps, DataPort and AskIEEE, and has been President of the Solid-State Circuits Society. During 40+ years in the semiconductor industry he has been VP&GM at Cadence Design, and has held various technical and management positions at Unisys and Motorola. Dr. Kumar has authored the book “Fabless Semiconductor Implementation”, published by McGraw Hill. He graduated from IIT Delhi and received his MS and Ph.D. from the University of Rochester.
