Event Name: IEEE Student Branch Selection Process

Objective:

The purpose of the IEEE Student Branch selection process was to interview and select new members for the branch. The event aimed to assess the potential and interest of first-year BTech students in becoming part of IEEE and contributing to various initiatives and projects.

 

 

Event Overview:

The IEEE selection process was conducted over two days, on the 24th and 25th of March 2025. The interviews started promptly at 2:30 PM on both days, with a total of 42 students being interviewed across the two days. The interviews were conducted in a professional and structured manner to evaluate the students' knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for engineering, technology, and IEEE's core values.

 

Interview Process:

The selection process involved one-on-one interviews with each candidate, where the students were evaluated based on the following criteria:

Technical Knowledge: The candidates were asked questions related to their academic subjects, problem-solving skills, and awareness of current technology trends.

Leadership and Teamwork Skills: Since IEEE is a student-driven organization, leadership qualities and the ability to work effectively within teams were assessed.

Passion for IEEE: Students were asked about their knowledge of IEEE, its initiatives, and how they could contribute to the IEEE Student Branch.

Motivation and Career Goals: The panel explored the students' motivations for joining IEEE and their long-term academic and career goals.

 

Outcome:

A total of 42 students were interviewed during the two-day event. Based on the interview process, the selected candidates will be informed about their acceptance into the IEEE Student Branch, where they will have the opportunity to engage in various events, workshops, and projects organized by IEEE.
