IEEE Kenya Section SAC Training for IEEE University of Johannesburg Student Branch and officials from the Kenya Section SBs

The IEEE Kenya Section Student Activities Committee (SAC) is proud to host a capacity-building webinar for the IEEE University of Johannesburg Student Branch. This initiative will empower the Excom members with the knowledge and tools required to lead impactful and sustainable activities within their SBs.

This interactive online training will cover four key areas:

  1. Student Branch Leadership – Insights on effective leadership and governance structures within IEEE SBs, presented by Allan Kimeli (Past Chair, IEEE SAC Kenya) and Otieno Richard (Chair, IEEE SAC Kenya).

  2. VTools - IEEE Volunteer Tools – Explore the suite of tools available to IEEE volunteers for event reporting, officer management, and visibility, guided by Ian Chege (Student Representative, Kenya Section), Jully Kyambi (Chair, IEEE Multimedia University of Kenya SB), and Brian Okari (Chair, IEEE Dedan Kimathi University of Technology SB).

  3. Publicity and Branding – Best practices for amplifying your SB’s activities and enhancing visibility through creative communication, with input from Maria Stacey and Jackson Mugwe of the SAC Kenya Publicity Committee.

  4. Funding Opportunities – Various internal and external funding avenues for IEEE SB initiatives, with insights from Stephen Okwiri (Secretary, IEEE Kenya Section).
