IEEE VTS Philadelphia Chapter Meeting

The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Philadelphia Chapter is holding a technical meeting.  The topic is Modernizing Electrical Switchgear and Circuit Breakers.  Our speaker is Tanner Esco, Lead Application Engineer, Eaton Power Breaker Center.

This presentation outlines the importance and benefits of modernizing electrical equipment.  It highlights the advantages of upgrading existing switchgear, including increased reliability, reduced maintenance costs and improved safety. The presentation covers various modernization options such as breaker reconditioning, replacements, and custom retrofits for both low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) breakers.  It also discusses replacement switchgear doors with new protective relays as well as ways to improve safety such as remote racking and trip unit upgrades.

There is no charge for meeting attendance, only for PDH certificates.

Attendees may apply for 1.0 PDH provided through the IEEE Certificates Program, accepted in all states.  Member cost is $7.00 and non-member cost is $10.00 (USD) via vTools.  Credit card payments are processed through PayPal.  Checks will be accepted.   Complete online evaluation after lecture at https://r2.ieee.org/philadelphia-vts/forms/

Payment must be received and evaluation form must be completed within three days to receive PDH certificate.
