"Wings of Change: Drone Technology in the Modern Era"
The event "Wings of Change: Drone Technology in the Modern Era" is organized by IEEE Power and Energy Society MBU SB Chapter, Department of EEE, School of Engineering, Mohan Babu University on 25th April 2025 for Pre-University Students and around 40 no. of students participated in the event. The event aimed to introduce young minds to the fascinating world of drones and their growing role in various sectors such as agriculture, delivery services, environmental conservation, and emergency response.
The resource person, Dr. N. Padmaja, Dr M. Dharani, Dr. K. Neelima, Mr. N. Anil Kumar and Ms. Ashreetha delivered a highly interactive presentation, Students attended interactive sessions that explained the basic working principles of drones, including aerodynamics, sensors, and remote control systems. Experts simplified complex concepts, making them accessible and exciting for beginners. A live drone flying demonstration was a major highlight, allowing students to see the real-world application of what they learned.
The event also included a fun quiz and mini-competition to test their creativity and knowledge.
The program successfully ignited curiosity and enthusiasm among students, encouraging them to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
