The 2025 PHOTONICS Forum, an annual international academic and industry joint seminar, officially took place at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). The forum, which rotates between the United States, Japan, and China, is formally known as the PHotonics-Optics Technology Oriented Networking, Information and Computing Systems Forum. 

The 2025 forum was co-organized by the IEEE CEDA Guangzhou Chapter, Guangdong Integrated CircuitIndustry Association,  and Provincial IC Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform of Guangdong.
