CS: Blockchain Series - DataVaults and DevLeChain: An Open Blockchain Application Development Platform for DApps
This event, DataVaults and DevLeChain: An Open Blockchain Application Development Platform for DApps, is hosted by the IEEE Foothill Section Computer Society Chapter in collaboration with the newly formed IEEE Foothill Blockchain Group, and the IEEE Orange County Computer Society, and IEEE Orange County Blockchain Group.
Continuing the IEEE Foothill Blockchain Group's Blockchain Series, this presentation is part of a curated lineup of workshops and talks designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals, real-world applications, and hands-on implementation of blockchain technology. Through this series, attendees will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to build competency in blockchain development and its broader ecosystem.
Abstract:
The lack of trusted, secure, ethical-driven personal data platforms and privacy-aware analytics, hinders the growth of the data economy and creates concerns. The talk first aims to introduce DataVaults, a platform to address this kind of concerns that pertain privacy, ethics and intellectual property rights, by allowing individuals to take ownership and control of their data and share them at will, through flexible data sharing and fair compensation schemes with other entities (companies or not). Then this talk aims to introduce an open blockchain platform – DevLeChain, which comes with unified access method, easy-to-understand development workflow, and constant design philosophy. It provides an easy toolset to customize and control the underlying blockchain’s behavior.
