IEEE ENCS 2025 Family Gathering at Lake Johnson Waterfront Center
Come join the IEEE Eastern North Carolina Section for a summer social at Lake Johnson Park Waterfront Conference Center on Saturday, July 19th. This event is for the entire family.
- Registration is 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon in the Lake Johnson Waterfront Center.
- Volunteers will meet at 12:00 noon to help set up food and tables.
- We will all meet in Lake Johnson Waterfront Center Conference Room to eat Lunch 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
- Leaders will speak during lunch.
- Enjoy the park, lake view, greenway and trails.
- If you choose to meet with a committee or work group after lunch, you may do so in the center.

Here are some of the activities available: walking, nature preserve, fishing and biking. The playgrounds and pool are located in a separate part of the park, so that might be a separate drive if you plan to go there. Children should be monitored for their safety.
- We will eat, drink and have fellowship
- The MOVE Truck will be onsite (if not needed elsewhere)
- Ken, our humanoid Robot, will attend
- Ice Cream for all after Lunch
- Stem Coloring activities for children
- Great hiking and biking opportunities
- Dogs must be kept on-leash
- Please come out and have a good time
The parking lot is near the Waterfront Center. See the Visitor map below for Parking. There is extra parking south of the bridge over the lake.
