Scooby’s Cyber Chase
The WIE ISI SBAG and the IEEE WIE ESPRIT SBAG are working together to organize a special event called Scooby's Cyber Chase on June 28 and 29 in honor of International Women in Engineering Day (WIE Day). This year's theme is pioneering safe cyberspace: bridging technology and light for security.
The event, which is being organized in partnership with the IEEE WIE Tunisia Section and the IEEE Tunisia Cybersecurity Local Group, is to promote information sharing and active engagement in competitive and instructive events.
The event comprises two primary components:
The first consists of a number of mentoring sessions that cover cybersecurity basics, career options, and how to enter the profession without any prior knowledge.
Additionally, there will be two motivational panels: one that will introduce the IEEE WIE program and the opportunities it provides for women in engineering, and another that will highlight women in cybersecurity and highlight their accomplishments, obstacles, and career pathways in order to encourage future generations of STEM professionals.
The event's second component, a 12- to 14-hour Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, will put participants through real-world cybersecurity challenges that are intended to improve their technical proficiency, critical thinking, and collaborative abilities in an exciting setting.
In general, Scooby's Cyber Chase seeks to demystify cybersecurity, promote women's participation in engineering, and inspire youngsters to seek professions in innovation and technology.
