On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, the United College of Engineering and Research IEEE Student Branch STB15147, organized an Expert Talk focused on this year’s global theme — “ Beat Plastic Pollution ”.
The expert session was held on June 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Room A-306, Third Floor. The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Amit Kumar Pathak, a distinguished environmentalist and academic, who delivered an insightful lecture on the growing threat of plastic pollution and the urgent need for sustainable alternatives.
Dr. Pathak emphasized the importance of collective responsibility and community-driven solutions in combating plastic waste. He also shared practical tips and innovative ideas for reducing plastic usage in everyday life, especially within academic and institutional settings.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, and volunteers, who pledged to adopt eco-friendly practices and promote environmental awareness. The session concluded with a vibrant discussion and a renewed commitment toward building a greener and cleaner planet.
