Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad proudly celebrated World Environment Day 2025 on 5th June with great enthusiasm and active participation across the campus. The event was organized to promote environmental awareness and inspire collective responsibility towards sustainable living.

The celebration witnessed the involvement of a large number of children, who participated enthusiastically in various environment-centric activities. One of the highlights of the day was a march-past across the campus, where the participants carried banners, chanted eco-friendly slogans, and spread awareness about the importance of environmental conservation among the campus community.

A key feature of the event was an educational session focusing on approximately 100 different types of seeds, providing insights into their ecological significance, medicinal value, nutritional benefits, and role in sustainable agriculture. This session aimed to instill in young minds the importance of biodiversity and traditional knowledge of useful plant species.

In addition to the march and seed awareness session, several interactive and creative activities were conducted for the children, including drawing competitions, skits on environmental themes, and quiz sessions. These activities helped to reinforce environmental values in an engaging and memorable way.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where children were awarded for their participation and performance in various activities. The Chief Guest, along with faculty members and organizers, encouraged the participants to continue being ambassadors of environmental protection.
