The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group of GWECA is proud to present "She Builds: Women Shaping the Future of Tech", a special technical speaker series in celebration of IEEE WIE Day. This event is designed to highlight and honor the contributions of women in the field of technology, bringing together experienced speakers who will share their insights on innovation, leadership, and emerging technical domains.
This event brings together a lineup of dynamic female professionals from various technical domains who will share their journeys, insights, and expertise in emerging technologies. From software development and AI to cybersecurity and cloud computing, our speakers will cover the latest trends, real-world challenges, and the future of the tech industry through the lens of women who are building it.

The event will begin at 12:00 PM with a welcome address and opening remarks by the WIE Chair or Faculty Advisor, followed by a keynote session titled “Empowering Innovation Through Inclusion”, delivered by a leading woman technologist. At 12:10 AM, the first technical talk will explore the role of artificial intelligence in social impact, highlighting real-world applications and challenges. This will be followed by a second technical session at 1:10 AM focused on building scalable systems in the modern cloud environment.
This event is open to all IEEE members, students, professionals, and anyone passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM. Participants will receive e-certificates upon attending the full session.
