The hands-on session on Database Connectivity using Node.js and PostgreSQL was hosted by IEEE CTSoc at RNS Institute of Technology. It was an insightful workshop led by Nishith R Kashyap, who introduced students to SQL and NoSQL databases, highlighting the advantages of PostgreSQL in backend development. Participants learned to set up a PostgreSQL database and connect it to a Node.js application using the pg library. The session included building basic API endpoints and using Postman for data operations.
