IEEE SAC KENYA OUTREACH TO KABARAK UNIVERSITY
The IEEE Student Activities Committee (SAC) Kenya, in collaboration with the Circuits and Systems Society (CASS), Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), Nanotechnology Council, Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), and the Industrial Applications Society (IAS), is delighted to host a strategic outreach event at Kabarak University. This initiative is designed to reintroduce IEEE to the student and faculty community while taking intentional steps toward reviving the dormant IEEE Student Branch at the institution.
This event aims to introduce the attendees to IEEE—its mission, vision, and the incredible opportunities it offers to students. Participants will learn about IEEE’s global structure, professional development pathways, and access to technical resources and networks that support academic growth, mentorship and innovation spaces.
A key focus of this outreach is to highlight how IEEE fuels innovation among students. We intend to expound to the attendees avenues such as student design competitions, IEEEDuino innovation kits, student paper contests, and entrepreneurship conferences students are empowered to turn ideas into impact and connect with global innovators and mentors.
The outreach will feature sessions led by current IEEE SAC Kenya members and the society members, showcasing the unique value of being involved in technical societies such as CASS, EMBS, RAS, and IAS. Students will be guided on how to align their passions with IEEE activities, access leadership opportunities, and drive change within their own communities.
