Two Day Hands-on workshop on “Development of Power Electronics System using Microcontroller”
The IEEE PELS Day Celebration 2025 at SVNIT was marked by a two-day offline hands-on workshop on “Development of Power Electronics System using Microcontroller”, jointly organized by the IES-IAS-PELS Joint Chapter and IEEE SB SVNIT. The event featured expert talks, embedded systems sessions, and a solar MPPT demo, aiming to bridge theoretical concepts with practical applications in power electronics. With enthusiastic participation and support from faculty and volunteers, the workshop also celebrated the revival of the IEEE Student Branch at SVNIT.

The two-day hands-on workshop titled “Development of Power Electronics System using Microcontroller” was conducted from 20–21 June 2025. Day 1 included sessions on ARM microcontroller architecture and GPIO programming, while Day 2 featured timer-based interrupt programming and ADC-DAC integration. The event concluded with a live MPPT demo showcasing microcontroller-based solar energy harvesting. Expert speakers, practical sessions, and enthusiastic student participation made the event a successful PELS Day celebration.
